Looking at each of the Olight Odin lights, we see they all have some very different features. Getting into some of the specs, the Olight Odin has 2000 lumens in high mode and 300 lumens in low mode. The low mode has a battery life of 8 hours. The light throw of the Odin is at about 300 yards.

The Odin mini is a little bit smaller and lighter but still has a nice 1250 lumen output in high mode. The low mode is 200 lumens and last for 5 hours. The light throw of the Odin mini is 240 yards.

Then we have the new offering, the Odin Turbo. The turbo is very unique in how it performs. The Turbo has 330 lumens in high mode and 90 lumens in low mode. What makes this crazy is it then has an insane light distance of 1000 yards!

We then mounted the lights up using our Ryker DC mount. The DC mount allows for a touchpad to be integrated with the Ryker grip to give you easy control over a tactical light.

We then went out and tested all three of the lights at night. The Odin and Odin turbo had a very comparable brightness and light cone. Both lights highlighted the area nicely while still having a bright center cone. While the lights had a significant difference in lumens on paper, we found they were pretty similar when placed side by side.

The Odin Turbo was insanely different. The light offered a very small cone that had no light spill. This made any close-range use a little challenging as it does not light up anything in the surrounding area. But shine this light down into the distance and light really performs. We were blown away at the distance this light could reach.

We then took all three lights inside to see how they would perform in a home defense scenario. Again, the Odin and Odin mini had great light splash that highlighted the entire area and gave you a good view of the entire room. The Odin mini’s high power mode was light turning on a light switch and just lights up the whole room. The Odin’s high mode is like turning on the surface of the sun and is crazy bright indoors.

The Odin turbo didn’t fare as well as there was no light spill to highlight the room. Combined with a small light cone, it was not ideal for indoor use.

Finally, we tested the lights in a tactical configuration. As we had seen previously, the Odin mini and Odin turbo did admirably in this configuration. They had a great light splash to highlight your peripheral vision while also having strong lights to highlight the center target.

The Odin turbo struggled a bit at these short ranges. The cone of the light was the same size as the housing, which means we had no peripheral vision. This caused some significant concerns in using this light in a tactical scenario. The Odin turbo would be ideal if you were needing to see 600 to 800 yards…at night.

Hopefully, this comparison helps you decide between which Olight Odin light fits your needs best!
