TacPack February 2021 – Pack of Meh

January TacPack left A LOT to be desired and stuff to be drowned and frozen, lets see how the TacPack February 2021 fares.

We start this video off with a step back to check on our WarMacHin plastic case that I filled and dunked in a bucket. I actually forgot about it for a couple weeks and remembered after the water froze.

So, we busted it out of its frozen prison using my homemade hammer (not even joking a little).

Surprised me how well that case did. Submerged for 2 weeks, frozen, beat on with a hammer, zero issues so far. I stood on it at over 200 lbs and it barely creaked. I’m going to revise my January review and give it a 2 out of 5 stars.

February Tacpack did better (how could they not?)
The first item is a SOG Aegis FL drop point knife. Seems like a discontinued model as I can’t find this on the SOG website. Looks like it is stonewashed due to the Matte finish. Heavier than my EDC and harder to open, but would probably be a good entry level knife. Prices vary online, but most places have it listed for $35.

Second is the Pitbull Universal Magazine Carrier. This is the third one I’ve received from TacPack. Not really an EDC, but I keep one in my car with a standard capacity magazine in it. I’ll grab it and throw it on whenever I feel the need to carry it. My one complaint is metal magazines (Springfield XD mags in my case) slightly shaved the inside plastic of this carrier. Made in the USA and $25.

Third item is a pair of Mechanix Wear FastFit Multicam gloves. Walsh did a review of a bunch of gloves and these performed middle of the road. I actually like them and the Multicam option. $15.

Last item is a set of stencils to paint your caliber on the side of an ammo can. This set is from Operator Survival Tool. These include 18 of the most common calibers. I honestly will NEVER use these and can’t imagine paying $20 for these, but that’s the price.

MSRP of the items in this box is $95 (not including tax and shipping). Much better than January, but nothing I’m overly excited about.
I’ll give this 3 out of 5 stars and refer to this as the “Pack of Meh”
