The FNMC kit takes a novel approach by copying the rigid styles of cummerbund such as the Crye structural cummerbund but then they turn the idea on its head and they did the entire cummerbund in elastic.

By upgrading your cummerbund, you gain an absolute ton of comfort as the entire carrier now has the ability to expand and collapse with you instead of just being stuck in one position.

With the entire elastic section also being molle, you can still connect in any gear or pouches you like. I connected in a two mag ten speed pouch and it worked perfectly to carry a few extra mags.

We do a lot of testing of carriers and whenever we go out and run in the structural style Joe and I both agree that it definitely crushes our chest when we try to take those deep breaths.

To install this style of cummerbund, you take the two ends and overlap them just as you would with the Crye structural cummerbund style. Included are the locking tabs that you slide between each of the molle sections on the molle cummerbund sections.

Each of the tabs also closes on the top and bottom so they remain locked in place. Arbor arms also makes the scarab adapter that can be hooked into slick or hook and loop style connection points. This allows the cummerbund to connect in to upgrade or change the style of any cummerbund you may have.

I found this was a great choice if you’re looking to move from a structural cummerbund to a more comfortable elastic style.

Hopefully, our look into the Arbor Arms FNMC was helpful in your purchasing decisions.
