I’ve been working a bit on how to #shoot fast and mainly, how to shoot fast and #accurate. I’ve found the issue I was having was both a grip issue and a #recoil control issue.

When shooting my Sig Sauer P320 compact, I had been locking my elbows out which causes my arms to flip up on recoil. This means that the very large muscle groups in my back are trying to make very fine movements all the way out at my hands. Which isn’t going to happen well.

So the idea we’re practicing instead is to break the elbows. This allows the #p320c to ride backwards and forwards as the gun recoils. Well that’s the idea anyway.

I do my best in this video to try out that technique. I think there is some magic too it but I need more practice on recoil control. I will say that grip is how to control the gun but there is also some thought that should go into how to control recoil and the path you allow it to take.
