A laser cut MOLLE belt that holds the gear fine. I’m not saying this is the best belt on the market, I’m saying you can get into a battle belt for really cheap. Even with their fully loaded setup, you are still coming in under $100 for a belt, mag pouches, dump pouch, general admin pouch and a holster!
There are a couple things that you need to understand and consider before purchasing a belt like this.
1. You may need to tighten it a little more than you are used to. This is because the padded belt has a neoprene like feel and isn’t “grippy.” So when I was doing some mag reloads with an AR mag, the belt would ride up quite a bit before the mag would release from the pouch. This may be more of a “look at how great esstac pouches are” but you already know that.
2. I would recommend a drop holster with a thigh strap if you decide to get this belt. The thigh strap will ensure the belt does not ride up during your draw from your holster thus saving you precious time during the draw
Besides those items, this belt may work well for you at a great price point. I’m not sure if I would trust this belt as an EDC duty belt yet, but I will give it an honest try.
There are some construction issues like delamination already just from weaving the MOLLE on. Hopefully it doesn’t go beyond that.
