I teamed up with Shawn from We Like Shooting, https://www.youtube.com/c/WeLikeShooting/ featured to test some level IV (4) plates from our friends over at L.A. Police Gear (LAPG). If you have not heard of LAPG they are a one stop shop for Law Enforcement, Shooting, and outdoor gear. And Discount code TLD10 will even save you 10% off their already low prices.
We tested the plates against multiple calibers to see how the LAPG level 4 plates would perform. We even tested out some shotgun slugs!
As you can see in the video the plats stood up well against a wide range of calibers and withstood 5 condensed 223 hits at 15 yards before failing.
As a bonus we wanted to show the dangers of wearing steel plates and why we call people with steel body armor “walking claymores.”
