Today I take out the Tikka t3x tac a1 and use YOUR tips in the comments to try to shoot better.
Rifle setup:
Tikka t3x tac a1
Atlas B10 V8 Bipod w/hawk hill custom feet
Vortex viper pst gen II 5-25 in Mils
VG6 Lamda 65PRS
Changes to the rifle: Added B&T monopod to act as a bag rider Swapped out Tab gear st8laced bag to armageddon gear x-wing large bag.
The big tips given to me where to keep my dang heels down, less trigger finger, and more overall control of the gun.
I kept feeling like my shoulder kept pushing the gun to the left so I really focused my shooting on keeping that shoulder down. I was still getting a bit of horizontal stringing but I think that is just an inconsistent trigger finger placement.
I also feel like my biggest sticking point for the next series of dry fire sessions is to establish some rear bag consistency.
My camera unfortunately died so I’ve got a cool new camera setup planned for future long range shots. Stay tuned on that one.
Thanks to everyone for the tips on shooting!
I ended up with an overall 0.89 MOA for the day but with the redeemed shot (it counts dang it!) it brought me back to 0.80 MOA for the day.
Thanks for watching!
