The My Medic MyFAK is an individual or small group first aid kit. I believe it is too big for a plate carrier or battle belt, but would be great as a trauma first aid kit to keep in the car.
You have six color options for the bag and two options for the contents…either the standard or pro. The standard kit is a basic first aid kit. Band-Aids, stuff for simple cuts and simple sprains…no real trauma.
The Pro kit is the one shown in the video and includes all the items to assist with major trauma. I say “assist” because you still need to train with the items you purchase for your first aid needs.
I do like the color coding they have which makes it easy to know what you are grabbing without having to read the description.
Red – Bleed
Orange – Burn
Yellow – Medication
Green – Sport/Outdoor (space blanket or blister mod)
Teal – Topical (Neosporin, etc.)
Light blue – airway
Dark blue – hydration
Purple – Sprain/Fracture
Black – Tools
I also like how you can easily replace stuff. You used the cold pack, no problem, you can just order that and replace it in the kit.
All in all, I’m super happy with this product, the only addition I will make is adding a CAT7 tourniquet.
We hope our review of the My Medic MyFAK Pro was useful in your purchasing decisions.
